Coronavirus (COVID-19) was first reported in December 2019 in Wuhan City in China, and since then there has been a rapid escalation of the outbreak worldwide. We have been monitoring international trends and the spread within Australia, particularly New South Wales, and as at 1pm today, an additional 4 cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed since the last update at 8pm, March 10, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in NSW to 65. This is now impacting many areas of the community.
As event organisers we made the proactive decision to postpone the Sydney Kids SecuriDay from May 30th to 14th November 2020 now, as the safety and happiness of our event participants is very important to us. This date, to the best of our knowledge, does not clash with other Sydney security events. Recent news indicates that we have made the correct decision. We have considered the option of delivering the event content online and will keep you updated of the possibility, however the way the workshops are designed and the interactions which are key to our event success this type of adaptation is difficult. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email us or reach out to us on social media. Our Canberra event remains scheduled for August. Thank you for your understanding and your continued support.
