K​ids SecuriDay is back in Canberra for another fantastic event for 2022!
Our August 2022 event is tied to National Science Week which will be in-person - hooray! The National Science Week schools theme is Glass: More than meets the eye, so our theme will be aligned too! 

What you need: a ticket and a computer.
What you get: fun talks, workshops, competitions, games, and mentoring from security professionals.
When: 10am - 3pm Saturday 27th August 2022

Drone Safety & Security

Presented by Dronesec, this workshop combines both a theoretical and practical component that aims to educate children about drones and how drones can be helpful to us as a society, how they’re used for good, and how we can help to protect against them being used for bad.

Cyber Kung Fu 101: Learn the Defensive Moves

In the field of martial arts, the goal is to learn how to master the moves to defend one’s safety and not to use the knowledge to actively attack or harm others. Did you know that there are equivalent techniques and concepts from the realm of cyber security that you could learn and apply so you can be prepared to defend yourself? If you’re curious, come and join this workshop.

The World Network

The national science schools theme is Glass: More than meets the eye
this workshop will be all about how glass is used within networking and technology, piping data around the world. How quickly does it take to travel the world with your data? Let's find out!

Physical Security

How do locks work, and why do some keys not work as well as others? In this workshop everyone gets some hands-on experience understanding the importance of physical security. This workshop returns with new challenges!

Cybergames

Capture the flag games are puzzles based on real world information security vulnerabilities. Race against the clock solving complex and fun exercises gathering ‘flags’ to earn points. This workshop returns for 2022 with all new challenges and prizes!
